    500 a square

I found a Lee mould for a cast six hundred grain bullet. I thought that would be the way to start. Still thinking it over

    500 a square

This gun is low cost for what it is but would I be better off to just spend more and get an off the shelf 416? I have been thinking that perhaps it's a better idea to start smaller. This big rifle comes with a set of dies brass and bullets and when you factor that all in the rifle is close to...

    500 a square

What would you think of mercury I'm the but stock? I was thinking two fourteen oz ones and then balance the rifle by adding weight in the forearm. My goal on paper was thirteen pounds or a bit more. I have a Schmidt and Bender 1-4 zenith series scope put it on or leave it off?

It weighs ten pounds. I was hoping it was heavier. No brake nobleford recoil reducers.

Speer Grand Slams from Speer bullets

As you know Speer no longer makes 358 diameter grand slams. That is the particular rifle I am wan a different bullet for. I have a 358 sta Magnum that I got 3000 fps out of the 250 grain bullet. I never found a bullet all went through. I like that as well.

Speer Grand Slams from Speer bullets

Finding premium bullets can be hard at times. I have never very much cared for partitions. Accubonds seem alright. I also liked the grand slams I have used. I like Remington lok cor ultra bonded only shot one animal with them so not a final judgment. I have bought a few boxes of a frames when I...

    Barnes vs GS Custom

Please do let us know I would think that a 40 grain bullet in a 224 diameter gun would be quite a test for the bullet. A lot of people likely would not agree with me but my belief is deer rifles start at the 25-06. I live and hunt in open country that is really flat and you can see several miles...

    Barnes vs GS Custom

I think I may try a few of the gcs 17 cal bullets and see what they do on animals bigger than ground squirrels. That should give an indication of how they will work with larger caliber rifles and big game but I can try them in the off season. I will have to email them to see if they ship to Canada.

    Cleaning brass

I have used a vibratory tumbler for years. I am thinking about changing somewhat. I am thinking using it first then resizing and depriming and then the wet clean with the pins. That would clean the brass to keep the dies in new condition and then the brass would be clean inside and out...

    Preferred Shot Placement

Animals don't run to good if you break both front shoulders and the nose is in the dirt. The bone from the near side shoulder makes great secondary projectiles. Central nervous system hits are immediately deadly. Heart shots are relatively quick as well but not like a cNS shot though. Animals...
