We took all hornady ammunition on our safari. I shot a couple animals with it and was very disappointed. Switched to Barnes X (using PH rifles)and we shot 8 more animals after. Barnes X held together perfectly and I will be switching all my ammo to Barnes X. I have no affiliation with Barnes.

My wife was using a .375 H&H. I was using a .416 Rigby. Using Barnes X 300 grain.
These rifles belonged to the PH Jack Franklin. We decided to use his rather than the hassle and stress of bringing our own. This was the first time I've used Barnes X and I'll be using these from now on. They hold...
Day 15
We decided to go have another look for buffalo today. We got on a herd and found a hard bossed bull that was only 70 yards away. He was smaller than the one my wife shot so we decided to pass on him. We put a sneak on a herd of heartebeest but the wind was swirling and they were gone.
We...
Day 14
The plan was to hunt crocs today but our PH wanted to check out another area that was only about 5 miles from camp. It was a big valley with some high ridges. We drove part way up but decided to walk the last 1/2 mile up to ridge. Once we got to the ridge we spotted 4 Zebra on far ridge...

Day 9
Went and checked hippo bait after breakfast. There was many crocs on bait not the one we were looking for. The trackers decided to push hippo carcass in water as the vultures were showing up to feed. We came back a few times during the day to check, but the croc we were looking for never...

Day 4
Out for a drive looking for fresh sign and found a beautiful lioness. We stopped and took pics and video. Great to see in the wild. Seen a nice herd of impala but was unsuccessful. Got stung in arm by some sort of wasp/bee. Stung for a couple hours and swelled up for day and half but was...
Day 3
We headed out today to look for Cape Buffalo after a great breakfast. We found fresh tracks so we headed out to find the herd. Caught up with them after about an hour of tracking. Followed them for about 4 miles but couldn't find an old hard bossed bull so we decided to leave them. Walked...
I hope this report wont be to long and boring but I will have to do report over a few posts.
Day 1
We flew into camp and got things settled in camp and we sighted rifles in. Then we went and set up 2 bait sights for leopards. Seen lots of impala, warthogs and waterbucks.
Day 2
