    Kimber 8400 Caprivi

I have a Kimber Caprivi in 375 H&H and it a wonderful gun. It is not only beautiful but also very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I bought mine last year to take on my first safari, i decided on this gun after shooting my dad's and between the two rifles we have taken 18 animals on 2...

Best Rifle for Wife’s 1st African Safari?

I would have to vote the 270, I have killed coyotes, wild hogs, whitetail deer, and elk with my 270. The elk was shot at 410 yrds using a 165gr barnes x. In my opinion the 270 is so versitle and plenty of gun for most African plains game, and the recoil is minimal.

    Heym, Rigby or Mauser?

I personally have a Kimber Caprivi in 375 H&H and absolutely love the rifle has the controlled round feed and a very smooth action. With that being said my dad has the Heym Martini Express in 404 Jeffrey, it is the nicest rifle I have ever handled and shot. The action is so smooth it is almost...

Lessons Learned African Animals Are TOUGH

What an amazing trip it looks like you had. The trophies look great that is an awesome pig. The buff is nothing to be ashamed of either. I am not so patiently waiting for my trophies to arrive from my hunt last year.

    Does Size Really Matter?

I would have to say that getting that monster trophy is a great feeling, however I have many memorable hunts when nothing at all was killed. I have been fortunate enough to hunt with my dad and granddad, and now I am getting to hunt with my dad and my son's. For me spending time with my family...

What’s your ideal Dangerous Game bolt gun?

I personally will carry my Kimber Caprivi chambered in 375 H&H when I go on my buffalo hunt with 300 gr. A-frames. Now if money where not a factor it would be a Heym Martini Express chambered in 404 Jeffrey shooting 400 gr. A-frames. Both of these are fantastic shooting rifles, luckily for me...
