Twenty Four Lions reintroduced to Zambeze Delta of Mozambique

Lions have an incredible “homing instinct” and so cannot simply be released until they have to be kept in a “boma”. Here you have an aerial view of the bomas in Mozambique. Each one is about a hactare so they have plenty of room but also plenty of cover in the clusters of trees - they spent six weeks in these bomas settling into the area
