Very Good design!! The leading edge is the belly when pushing the blade separating hide from tissue. The slight concaveness between the belly and the hilt will help guide the blade and reduce hand fatigue. the only problem I have had with such blade is my tendency to wipe the blade from hilt to point and the increase in width results in running my hand into the blade rather than behind it. That sort of thing only happens once, then the memory provides guidance. Great design.
@Ray B
Ray, I am going to offer the mini skinner with two handle options. The "Compact Mini" as shown here and a "Standard Mini" with the more commonly sized handle. I will show the two patterns side by side later in the day.
