Rifle Stock making process

Brian fells all the trees and mills the timber for the stock blanks and in doing so there is always pieces that are too long for a two piece stock but not long enough for a full stock but are too nice to be firewood.
I hadn't even thought of that one Art but appreciate the thought and will definitely mention it to Brian when I send him his knife.
This is shotgun blank and an indication of some of the nice wood he has to cut blanks from
