Thought it was a giant forest hog! It wouldn't look quite so large if the chap in the pix was standing right next to it. Part of this the more frequent ploy of placing persons way back to make the critter look way big. A practice I distain.
That warthog was hunted in Mauritania with us, Sahel Safaris. It was too big. The photo is real, the boy was 14 years old. We thought it could weigh around 230-240 pounds
