Fire forming .375 H&H Magnum to 404 Jeffery

Fire-forming
Sest, due to the non availability of 404 Jeffery brass or ammo that time , so I had to make do what I had...later I did manage to get hold of Hornady 404 Jeffery brass..

Bob, keep in mind as pointed out, the belted case when fire formed to fit in the 404 non belted chamber now head-space on the shoulder of the .375 /404 Jeffery fire formed brass case...brass flows easily under heat and pressure in a rifle chamber...

Bob, you are correct..that was what every person who told me it can not be doen, pointed out to me...keep in mind the whole brass casing expand exponentially..to fit in the cavity /form of the 404 chamber..

@Gert Odendaal
The head section cant expand and as I said base size is different.
Yea brass flows under pressure but I personally think you are asking to much. Wall thickness will be all over the place from the old belt section to the neck.
Suppose it does work you would have the head then a thin wall below the old belt then thick area where the belt was then the case wall thins again.
I would seriously recommend you section a case length ways to check the difference.
I personally think you are in uncharted territory with this. I have heard of people turning the belt off on a lathe and swaging belts onto a case but not what you are doing.
You would be better off buying new Hornaday 404 brass and not risk your rifle or yourself.
Just my 2 cents worth. I've been loading for 40 odd years including Wildcats and I definitely wouldn't be doing what you are attempting.
Best of luck and keep safe you only have one body.

Thank you Bob, your input are always much appreciated...Bob, This was done eight years ago, I am still shooting these fired form brass, no head separations, no cracks, no blow outs , nor any accident ..if this was indeed a deadly time-bomb I am sure during the past eight years of extensive use on shooting at targets/game ect it should have been evident by now..I already bought new brass the past eight years, re-load for the 404 Jeffery since I now have ample brass for the 404 Jeffery I only use the fire-formed brass to cycle through the magazine/chamber when working on a Mauser action to make it feed ..this I use as dummies as well as the standard brass...
