@Hogpatrol I believe the Sinclair tool works from the Ogive. Put in a bullet first and measure to its base. You then put in the brass and measure to its base. Add the length of the bullet to the distance between the base of the brass and the base of the bullet. It's a neat little tool. (That is not a loaded cartridge in the pic, just rezised, primed brass)
That's a good tool. I use the Hornady one for my small stuff .223 and under, and the nut for 6mm and up. I make up my own from twice fired brass. This is for base to lands measurements.
