Win 70 Rifle in 7x57

Just got a nice post 64 Win 70 home, in...
7x57 Mauser. Essentially NIB, perfect condition. I don't believe its ever had a round run thru the action nor the barreled action ever taken out of the stock. All papers, hang tag, box etc.

This is an XTR and they seem to actually have put a little extra into them. I have another in .300 H&H and its superb. This one takes 5 down and I just ran 5 thru the mag, no issues, tight headspace. This is not a common rifle to begin with (in 7x57) but this one even less so as it has factory barrel sights and these seem to be quite rare. There is not another for sale on line that I am aware of. Made a pitch for this one on GB, seller was receptive and its mine.

Twist as listed in the papers is 8 and 1/4 which is to my mind about perfect for all weights. I will try to post some pics tomorrow. This should be a nice shooter.

7x57s are tough to find in the States I looked for a year before I found my CZ in 7x57

The XTR 80s guns are nice rifles. Your 300 H&H is probably even more scarce than the 7x57. My two fav calibers.

My .300 was a distributor special, only 1000 made in 1988, for the Wammes Corp. I had one when they first came out then like an idiot I sold it, then years later figured I better have another and after some time of looking found a nice one. There were 750 made with standard wood and 250 with fancy. Believe the one I have now is fancy; very pretty wood.
