also got the new 2.5-8 VX3i mounted and bore sighted on my 6.5 Grendel-Max in place of the heavier Nikon and now have a 6 1/2lb rifle/scope combo for the hill hunts. Stock is one I laminated with some internal skeletonising and shows the results of the scrub we have to get through on some of the hunts. Dont like to take nice walnut into that country although I have done and had to refinish the stocks afterwards. It dosent matter with this one. A worked over mini mauser is the base for this rifle. magazine stretch, bolt handle and rail work allows it to take the longer GM cartridge
