This Model 70 Super Express closely resembles the pre-64 Model 70
375 H&H rifle I have owned for 35 years. Iron sights to back up the
scope are always welcomed on a hunt in the outback.
Carrying an extra scope and screwdrivers along with other gun-related tools
are strongly recommended by James Mellon in his African Hunter volume.
From Alaska to Africa, an extra rifle is also a good idea if possible, like a .338
to handle where a .375 might normally be required.
