On my way back from the People’s Republic of Canada, I flew through Detroit. While on the plane, I overheard a conversation between 3 liberal women. All of them opined the fact “that poor man” was so “stressed” by the media that he “cursed”. They talked about how hard his job was and that people needed to give him a break. One said that people needed to pray for him (only thing I agreed with), and the others remark about how difficult of a position he has been put into with COVID, the economy, and now Ukraine.

The amount of fawning was unbelievable. It was soooo difficult to keep my moth shut and my disbelief contained (one of them was the flight attendant, and I needed to get home).

IDK that I'd call that "fawning," but it's definitely a case of avoiding reality.
