Hello from England

Dear Slim01

Welcome to AH.
We offer management safaris in both Namibia and South Africa.
Please feel free to contact us should you require more information.

Thank you.

Kind regards

I'm fifty three and am lucky to have been involved in hunting and fishing since childhood. Initially with shotguns, but have been hooked on deer stalking for about 20 years, mainly roe and muntjac, but also sika, fallow and red deer in Scotland. I hunted plains game in Namibia in 2018 and am starting to think about making another trip in 2023 for a fair chase walk and stalk management hunt.

I've been traveling the last few days and didn't see your post until now. So a bit of a belated welcome to AH!

Good to see another Brit on the forum. Welcome.

Welcome. Would you be willing to write a report on a Red Deer hunt in Scotland? I would like to learn more. Thanks. Your Wisconsin friend, Brian

Welcome to AH @Slim01 ! You’ll find a great group here! I’d love to hear about your adventures in Scotland, as I have been there too :)

Welcome aboard Slim01. AH is filled with hunters from all over the world. No game or rifle is too big or too small. We share our stories, experiences and knowledge. So grab a cold one (in your case maybe a warm one) and join the fun. BTW what kind and caliber rifles do you own?

Enjoy your research!
Welcome to AH.

Thank you. Monday morning unfortunately means strong black coffee. I currently use a Tikka T3X in 6.5x55 and a Winchester M70 Extreme Weather in .30-06. I plan to buy a .375 H&H over the next year or so for use in Africa.

When you come to apply, Devon and Cornwall Firearms Unit will tell you that .375 is not allowed for AOLQ

However plenty of us have similar calibres conditioned for use for stalking - my 404J is conditioned AOLQ

Make a strong argument and stick to it

Thanks D&C gave me a slot for it when I renewed my Firearms Certificate last year, but it's conditioned for range use only. I'll contact them again once I've bought a rifle, as I'd like to use it for boar and large woodland stags.

@Slim01 Welcome mate nice to see more brits. And like @bowjijohn said stick to your guns for the 375 (pun fully intended).

Welcome to AH!

Welcome to AH! If we can be of any assistance with US Customs or shipping, please call, email, or send me a message!

Welcome! Nothing like AH for information and getting people on their way to Africa.
