I thought I have better post a little bit of Mauser porn! I have had a Mauser M03 in 30-06 since 2015 and have bagged a host of critters with it, mostly Wild boar, fallow deer and the odd Moufflon. Mauser released the newly minted M98 Magnum in 2015 and the M98 standard in 2017 and I have had a serious craving for them since, but the prices where admittedly rather steep. Well, last year L&O group decided to vertically integrate distribution in the nordic countries for Mauser, Sauer and Blaser so at the drop of a hat the incumbent importers lost the right to sell them and had to offload the inventory. That was the cue for me to gear up and I was able to buy a Magnum and a standard in the calibres I desired; 375 H&H and 7x57!

Gorgeous set!

Feel free to show them draped across some game.
I haven't seen moufflon and I'd like to see a Wild Boar.
We have feral pigs but yours have a different look.

Hell, even photos of Swedish Chicks holding Mausers
There is the perception that they are all Blonde and Beautiful., And I wouldn't mind if they are.

Omg! I freaking love Mausers. I have a couple military ones but would also loooove to get a standard hunting rifle in a good caliber.

@Swedish chef Nice pictures. Good to see rifles in the snow and out in the bush. Do you have to sleep outside with your rifles now OR was there enough money left over for what the missus wants? :D :A Stirring: :A Stars: :A Stretcher:
It's easier to be forgiven that getting permission so I bought them and mentioned as a natural piece of information. She used to it though; on our first date I brought her to a gunshop, she didn't run away and now we have kids together also :)

Oh my those are pretty. My forever rifle is my dads 1933 Oberndorf Mauser, wearing the original 8x57 bbl. It had a several decade transition to a more appropriate sporting dress and is my go to for New York deer and moose. I would love to take it to Africa (SA) with me this April for plains game, but it is our first time traveling internationally and I just am not brave enough to deal with the firearm issue first time around.

I just bought a used twin to that 7x57 identical to yours. Got it for a bargain and sooo happy with it.

I’m shooting 120gr Barnes X tipped at close to 3000fps and 160gr X at 2500fps. Both with great results!

Love the Schmidt and Bender on the Magnum!

If you're going to RSA, I wouldn't hesitate to bring your own rifle along. Just contact @riflepermits.com and they will do everything for you. If you pay a little extra, they can even arrange the expedited movement through customs and immigration. Totally painless process.

Agreed, it is quite easy. You will regret leaving it at home.
