I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Frank Ray. I made my first trip to Africa in Sept 2012 and I hunted with Marius Goosen of
KMG Safaris and had a wonderful time. I cannot thank Marius and his staff enough for the wonderful trip that I had. This was my first trip, but definately not
my last. I have convinced my wife to go along on the next trip which I am planning for 2014.

I am a retired Police Officer and an avid hunter. I hunt White Tailed deer mostly here in the US, but have hunted Moose, Caribou, Kodiak Brown Bear,
Black Bear and Elk. I also shoot competitive Trap and reload every caliber I shoot.

I am looking forward to being an active member of the forum!

Welcome to AH and thank you for your boycott of Harrisburg show!

Thank You! And Thanks for your support!

Welcome to the forum, great to see another LEO on here. How about a hunting report and some photos from your journey to comfort me until my next trip over the pond???? Great to have you here.

Welcome to AH.

Don't recall your pictures or the hunt report.

35, Thanks for the welcome! I hunted with Marius and was astounded by the amount of game we saw each day. He and Loew (my PH) had eyes like eagles, they saw stuff from unbelievable distances, but they talked me onto the animal pretty well. I just hunted plains game for this first hunt, Impala, Blesbok and Springbok. I took all 3 animals and was hunting for cull warthog and missed a pretty nice one. I post 2 pictures of the Springbok and Blesbok.

Are you retired or still active? After 29 years, I decided to call it quits and have not looked back. My body thanks me LOL I am not doing a thing except enjoying my retirement, I have turned down 4 job offers because it would cut into my hunting and shooting time :happywave:

Brickburn,
I posted 2 photos, I think they can be pulled up and thanks for the welcome

No, not retired (Too young to quit, or too ornery):p, Just took up a different career. Still bum around with my LEO buddies though. Enjoy the site, and thanks for the years of service. I get into the Lehigh Valley area about twice a year.

Glad you had a successful hunt, I am happy to hear it. A lot of great outfitters still out there, the crooked ones seem to be falling by the wayside.

..and I thought you were going to come and live with me..

Don't count me out just yet..... Sometimes things just happen.

Frank...enjoy thre site. You'll love it :welcome:

Welcome to AH, Frank !
