My Covid vaccination experience

Received my second Moderna 10 days ago. Felt good, so when I got home I shoveled snow for nearly an hour. BIG MISTAKE! That night and all the next day I felt awful! Then the second day after, I woke feeling great. No problem since.

I received my first Phizer 3 weeks ago with no side effects,I get my second one next week,
I got covid from a friend who went to Thanksgiving dinner at a family get together, and he passed it on to me. I came down with coved along with pneumonia and blood clots in my lungs. My daughter did a wellness check and didn't like the way I sounded and called the police who game over and called an ambulance.
I spent the next month in the hospital coved ward trying to beat coved which I did with Gods help.
I was released from the hospital and spent the month in a re-hab center learning how to walk again. I was released and now I'm home doing re hab and finally eating good food

Same experience here. 1st Moderna no effects. 2nd Moderna got really sick on second day. Fever, chills, aches, bad headache. Fairly common reaction I think. After that OK.

Glad you are posting again brother. Good to have you back.

Vaccines are bad especially ones that have been rushed to market.
At this time it is bad advice for average folks to get vaccinated. First of all the vaccine is not accepted for travel.

What is your doctorate in?
Not sure why anyone would listen to you?
I think I will go with the science 500,000 deaths must be telling us something!

Dang Rob, I was wondering where you went?!? Great to have you back! I had a 40something client who’s experience mirrored yours. He’s a sheep hunter and fit. I’m glad you’re back.

I will get the vaccine when I am able to. I got covid in December. It was the worst sickness I’ve had. I lost about 2 weeks of work (including family time at Christmas.) I had a mild case by the sound of it. So what is two weeks worth to you? (Plus an additional week of slow recovery).

If a person is willing to get a vaccine of some sort to hunt in Africa, why not now?

(Even better, think about the stuff that goes into McDonalds food...)

Thanks guys not something I would wish on anyone including my ex wife.
I had a rifle sold to Tgood1 and he was patient enough to wait damn near 3 months before I was well enough to take it to the Post Office

Both my parents (79 years old) received it. Their family doctor told them that on younger patients were more prone to stronger side effects like chills, fevers & aches. Both of my parents showed no signs.

We received our second Moderna shot a couple hours ago. Don't feel any thing.
Keep your fingers crossed. I had absolutely no reaction to the 1st Moderna. I had my 2nd Moderna at about and no reaction until about 9-10 AM the next day. Then yikes- not good! If I weren't retired, no way I could have worked or driven or really functioned other than lay in bed. Just be prepared in case you're negatively affectedly by it. Good news was by the next day I was pretty much back to full speed which also seems to be a common scenario.

I got my second Moderna vaccine on Wednesday. Felt fine driving home and later in the evening. Next morning I ached all over., low energy, feels like a bad flu. Continued today, but getting better late this afternoon. Better than having Covid, I guess.

I was given the opportunity to take the first shot at work today. I declined mostly because they informed me that although it is expected to get sick for a short time with the second shot it would likely be far worse if the first shot is taken less than 90 days since you actually had covid.
I have roughly 5 more weeks before I pass that mark.
You are the second individual I have heard talk about having COVID and then being recommended to get the vaccine. The other is my 94 year old aunt who tested positive in December ran a fever for two days and then went right back to telling all her nephews and nieces how to do things. It is being recommended she get the vaccine too. My understanding is that if you are infected you develop immunity. Anybody want to try to help me understand?

Phillip and I disagree on this subject. However, Phillip is one of those individuals I want to listen to. I especially want to listen to him if I disagree with him. It makes me check my ideas more closely.

First rule of scientific method, a hypothesis or theory is never proven right it can only be proven wrong by testing.

Listen to the people that will contradict you. They will make you think longer and harder.

Agreed, however the best data globally is coming out of Israel currently and it would disagree with Phillip’s position. No surprise that the Israelis are months ahead of us and exceptional at data capture and analysis. The latest data coming out indicates that the vaccines are more effective than previously thought. It also appears that those vaccinated are not able to transmit the virus, which is also different than previously believed. The last I heard they were at a 40% vaccination rate nationally and their over 60 death rate was lower than their younger population due to vaccination levels. If this data holds there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hope this is true. Never the less, we all need to keep our immune systems at the best level possible whether guarding against Covid, common cold, flu, what ever. The older we get the more critical this becomes. JMO
