Here is a photo roundup of the last couple of years worth of hunting and fishing in Alaska with my boys. I love living in Alaska, so many opportunities right out our backdoor. No giant trophies in this batch but we put a bunch of meat in the freezer and had an awesome time doing it.

If more dads would man-up and teach their children how to grow properly into becoming responsible adults, this world would not be in the mess it is experiencing now.

I heard a rumor yesterday that “they” are re-issuing the original memo.
I haven’t seen it yet but expect to receive my copy soon.
No doubt you will be getting one soon as well.
It says we’re supposed to tell people that, a gallon of milk costs $100., loaf of bread the same, it’s frozen solid up here 365 days a year, it’s dark 24 hours a day, we have no roads or cars, so we drive dog sleds, we live in igloos and have to chew on our shoes to keep them soft enough to walk in, etc., etc.

Paul, thank you for the kind words. I agree, most kids would greatly benefit from lessons in hunting and field craft. Hunting in remote Alaskan backcountry has a way of instilling respect and self reliance. Plus I just think that engaging in traditional human activities like harvesting your own food gives you a different perspective on life, not sure I can fully articulate it with words but i get the sense that you will understand what I mean....and yes I did get the memo!
