There was a lot of competition in the accuracy market, and not too big of a market segment. Many hunters felt that newer companies delivered almost the same for much less.....then too, many major companies began producing factory rifles that competed for long range hunting.......still, sorry to see this.....they have a great product........FWB

This custom gun stuff has been so over blown. Many production guns with the right optics and ammo can shoot out to 1000 yards now. No need to spend thousands of dollars on a gun alone.
Sorry to hear of their many troubles. Sounds like they are done for good.

Not sure what can be worked out, when I did some banking working, and prepared the UCC-1 it usually included everything along with the kitchen sink. I’ve appointed a lot of receivers too, and that point, really only one option left.

Brent...........................if Wells Fargo gets their money back, maybe they won't have to steal so many cars and houses:p....................FWB

so does this mean they might have an inventory blowout sale?? just asking for a friend

I agree that today, many out-of-the-box guns can shoot extraordinarily well. Having said that, and you might accuse me of heresy, but I never bought into the view that any hunter needed a gun that could shoot sub MOA at 500 yards or 1000 yards or whatever. I don't know what percentage of hunting shots are taken at fewer than 250 yards, but I'd guess the substantial majority. The longest shot I've ever taken in Africa - and it was longer than the next longest by more than 100 yards - was a 380 yard shot at a Mountain Nyala (not unusual for these guys). I like to get close to whatever I'm shooting at, and 125 yards is about as far as I enjoy shooting, with the limit for dangerous game being about half that.

Within those limits, every single rifle I've ever had could shoot better than I was capable of shooting it.

What I will pay for in a rifle is reliability, balance and ease of handling, a beautiful wood stock and, if I can get it, a gun or at least a calibre that speaks to me of Africa.

If I was told that in the future, all of my shots on game were going to be 500 yards or more, I'd find another hobby.

My thoughts exactly. I can't see blowing several thousand of my hard earned bucks for something that doesn't shoot any better than my 10 to 15 hundred dollar Win 70s. My longest shot to date is 286 yards on a springbok with a 6.5 CR which cost me about $800.00. Dead in his tracks. All my hunting guns give me 2" at 100 yards and most of my shots are under 150 yards. What more do I need? I'll put my money into trophies or cull hunts.

Hog..........that's good to hear........thanks for posting..................FWB

I've nothing against them but they're going for a niche market. And like most people I can build what I need for a fraction of their cost.

Heck, if they wanted to impress me they could start making a reasonably priced suppressor. If European companies can do it so can American ones. A can should not cost $800+.
