COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

The Northeast and west coast “you’re all going to die” commentators must really be scratching their collective apocalyptic heads over Florida. A month ago it was going to be the American Italy. This week it is starting to reopen and has yet to even stress its hospital bed capacity.

The talking heads in MSM only parrot what their puppet masters allow and in the Northeast, it's whatever makes Trump look bad. Ironic and hypocritically, the same talking heads speak highly of the Democratic governors who have done basically nothing but whine.

Our Arizona governor extended the stay at home, an extra 2 weeks. Although some businesses are allowed to open voluntarily. The Corona mortality rate in this county is .000066%, or 1 death per 15,000. People are not dropping like flies, contrary to the whining of our idiot Liberal Mayor.

Got to wear face masks here in public.... Can't get into malls or shops without.... But majority of people walking around the roads and local markets don't have them....traffic less...and malls bit quieter....but apart from bars ..restaurants ...clubs..casinos.. Gyms and cinemas being shut everything basically as normal... there are hand sanitizer at every shop and take your temperature at every entrance ..stickers on floor at checkout to distance people.... But at moment that's it...

The CDC, released it's latest report,, and the number of deaths from COVID19 is 30,000 less then what is being reported by the media.?

Here in Maine our Governor has extended everything. Some stores and things opening now. The killer is that she will not let campgrounds and hotels open till July/August same with lifting 14 day quarantine for those entering the state. So there goes the tourist season and almost all of the yearly income for 2/3rds of the business in this state

that's because the media is using a different method to calculate deaths that includes those with pre-morbid conditions.

Don’t forget that this virus is less than five months old in the U.S. and most states actually did some form of prevention. While others were a bit slower. The worst patient I have had part in treating was an elderly man who flew “home” from Florida and visited his neighbors before he got sick and required hospitalization-

Agreed but it's hard to partially take off a parachute. We can partially re-open our economy and still wear masks, practice SD, avoid large crowds and protect the people with underlying conditions. Keeping EVERYONE locked down in ALL states and counties was just as foolish. If I am not jumping out of an airplane, why should I wear a parachute?

@Sc0tt CWO beat me to it. That is a clever but irrelevant analogy. My college philosophy professor would have given it an "F". I think what is fundamentally happening, is that the population is again dividing on this issue like it does every other. A large segment of our citizens is frightened, even terrified, and is content to follow orders and hide in their homes. Another large portion, who can do the math, have decided the cure is significantly worse than the potential disease. Most of those have also moved beyond the guilt phase (you will make your grandmother sick) and realize it might make more sense to focus quarantine and isolation efforts on the truly at risk. I am 67 and come down solidly on the side of the latter group. I would also suggest - though I obviously can't prove it - that the latter group is heavily populated by those people who actually make this country work, and/or reside in parts of the nation where a culture of self-reliance has not yet been subsumed by grievance politics and social "equality."

I've always been suspicious of the phrase "flattening the curve". With a contagious viral infection of this nature and within a large, mobile population, flattening the curve also results in lengthening the curve. Doesn't that fit right into a more permanent status for the newly discovered power of certain political positions and an agenda aimed at November?
