Been watching the locust outbreak in Kenya and other countries.....looks like the swarms are supposed to be 400-500 times as large in a few months with the swarms moving southward. Crops and grazing damage....anyone hear any reports on how this will affect wildlife populations?

Just what they don't need on top of a drought. Those nasty bastards will eat everything right down to the ground.

I've been following this very closely and started a thread when Tanzania spotted their first swarm in Moshi The Kilimanjaro Region.

The last forecast I posted showed the swarms moving north and north west.

All reports so far have focused on crop and livestock damage do to East Africa's Food insecurity issues.

There can be no doubt that wildlife will suffer in affected areas. Add drought stress and add in people forced into poaching game after their crops are destroyed???

You get the picture

Prayers for those people in Africa.....they never seem to get a break....can't imagine the hopeless feeling they must endure. So thankful for being born in America.
