This was the email advising us all that our Hunting Draw Results are not available.

No, sorry there will be a delay, just this:

"UPDATE-2012 Hunting Draw Results!

Due to an explosion and power failure, the draw results may not be available on July 12, 2012 as scheduled.

At the time of this email we are not certain when service will be restored."

How do you like for wrecking a guys hunting!
Has to be a conspiracy.

Well, that's just wrong, your right, a major conspiracy, messin with the power grid to mess with you. :smash:

We better assume that we were all drawn just to show them whos boss.

Nope 438!!! + a couple Goat tags, Bison and Ya Ha Tinda Elk. Looks to be a busy fall.

Still can't figure how a power failure has anything to do with the draws. Amazing.

Not sure. I was suprised to see the email, I had just opened the one saying results would be available tomorrow a few hours before so whatever it was was sudden. the funny thing is they had plenty of power to send emails to everyone but not enough to post draw results???

The sight of Lucy swiping that football away from Charlie Brown just popped into my head.....that's just not right!

Tried the site this morning.
Loading got across the address bar to WW and stopped.:ballchain:

Yep, looks like elk on the Ya Ha this fall :nailbiter:

WMU (Wildlife Management Unit) 437 is open for only Full curl rams and only gives out I beleive 6 tags each November and is adjacent to WMU 438 which also gives out 6 per year and is on the edge of the Cardinal River Coal mine, world renouned for populating the B&C top 10 on governer tag hunts in November.

Just checked again but the site is still blowed up.

thanks for the info, simple if you know, but a bit like a code if you dont. :)

I have been waiting on this tag for so many years I can not recall.
There is at least another 6 years before I will get it, but perhaps with this computer catastrophe I'll just print my own and go and blame the computer glitch.

What is your priority? As near as I can figure it, if you have a priority of 16 you will get a tag within the next 13 years. With each lower priority having the aproximately the same 100 aplicants competing for the same 8 tags, none of which will be eligible for a tag until those of higher priority are drawn or stop putting in you can add another 12.5 years per priority level. Assuming you are at a level 10 and are expecting a tag at level 16 I hate to break it to you but they will be drawing from the priority 22s by then. You had to start applying form year 1 and not miss to be certain of eventually drawing a tag, if you only missed 1 year you may have a possibility of getting one, after that forget about it.

This draw is the reason they went to the random drawing (scrapped the priority system) for extremely low success draws like 438 Sheep, Goat, and Bison. They should just admit their mistake with the 437 draw and go random on it too.

Actualy they should not scrap teh priority syetem on any draw, simply change how it is applied. Those with a priority of 16 should be randomly entered 17 times and those with a priority of 0 should be entered once. reward the patient while giving everyone a chance.

I did the math a little while back, with the assumption all persons entered would continue to do so and the same number of tags would get drawn annually and it worked out to about 6 more years.

Any one entering now, assuming they started at 12 years of age could be drawn when they are about 65.

I agree, but what is funny is people are putting in now for the first time that are not 12!
These people complain about taxes?????

As long as I get 17 entries per year until I am drawn. But since I am going this year we should be good.

I think you did the math I did at first, forgot about the 35 999s that are bound to apply for a tag before any priority 15s get a crack at a tag. Sounds like you are at the top of the heap pririty wise though so good luck, I hope this is your year. Assuming the same # of applicants as last year you should have a 10% chance.

A co-workers Father-in-law was drawn 2 years ago and screwed a shot up at a 175" Ram (Nicked it and it never made the ridge before another hunter got him). They scouted hard and found the rams and were on them opening day. After that they were hard to find. Despite plenty of time to hunt the weather beat them (cant see rams in rain and cloud) and he was unsuccessful.

You never know what those 999's have for priority for sure.
One way or the other, one day I will walk up there and wait for a Big Sheep.
