I won the auction, so now I am a member of the ZKK 602 club. Now my model 70 is gonna to have to fight for my love!
Thanks @sestoppelman
Hey look! A model 70 is about to come up for sale guys!;) Congratulations and welcome to the club.

Glad someone here got it. Its been for sale for a little while, then he dropped his price. You had to pay a little more for it then that, but its still a good deal, looks near new. Should be a fine rifle.
I see there is another ZKK on GB but its a 601 in .308, be a nice rifle but I have plenty of .308's.

How often do they show up? I am surprised there are 2.
They seem to turn up regularly enough....but, not with the peep sight! I would have a hard time not bidding then! I think you need pre 1982 or so for that. This one was 1991 I think.

There was a 7x64 and a custom .378W a week or so ago. Also been a few .375's of late. I got outbid on a very rare 8x64s recently and still kicking my own butt with a frozen boot!:eek::mad::mad::mad:

Peep sights were mostly in the 60's I think, not often seen.

Hello Wyatt Smith,

Welcome to the Bruno 602 Club.
The Winchester Model 70 of today is a very fine hunting rifle.
However, IMO the Brno seems a bit more, “classic Africa” if I may....with it’s straight down bolt handle, deep magazine (AKA: “drop box” magazine) and genuinely large/robust, controlled round action, complete with double square bridges.

If I was for any reason, left with but one rifle for the rest of my life, it would be my Brno 602.
Just like yours, mine is a .375, (my favorite hunting cartridge).
It wears a no longer made model of 4x Zeiss scope, in Alaskan Arms lever rings and still has the un-altered factory “express” sights on it.
Well actually, I did have a Gunsmith install a larger front sight bead, of white porcelain, since my 66 year old eyes can no longer see the factory issue, rather tiny metal bead in twilight.
Last but not least, I bought a “standard” trigger, from a PH and had a local Gunsmith here in the USA install it.

Be that as it may, my Namibian employer, Philip Hennings at Khomas Safaris owns the same make, model and caliber of rifle but, remaining intact with the factory single-set trigger.
And, I used it with great affect in Namibia (refer to my hunting report from 2017), set trigger and all.
If I had not been offered a reasonable deal on the standard trigger, I would still be enamored with this rifle of mine, set trigger and all.

I would not hesitate to hunt anything in North America, from fox to bison or, most species in Africa, Australia (or you-name-the-place), with my Brno .375, it’s a real peach.

Cheers,
Velo Dog

I picked up the rifle yesterday, it’s in very good shape. The bolt is a little rough, but I will break it in. I actually like the backwards safety. Will report later on how it shoots.

Its a rare BRNO that wont shoot really well, good luck!(y)

Great Rifle in a Great Caliber, I would flip the levers to the opposite side if possible

I’ll probably just shoot the sights for a while to see how I like it. Those rings came with rifle and are 1”, the scope I have planned for if 30mm. I don’t think you can just turn the around due to the recoil lug. But I will order left handed Talley rings if I decide to keep/scope it.

I have 2 for sale jere but have only gotten trade offers --hmm -- I guess I might just look into putting on gun broker

I didn’t see your ad. But I wasn’t in the market for one. I hit the bid button by impulse. Mine might be for sale on this site later, I don’t know.

A spare .375...hahaha. That's a sign of addiction. I have two spares. I could probably get by with my #1 and call it a day if the M70 wasn't so darn accurate. I wonder if your rifle will hold seven shots...
