NRA,
Hello all, I'm curious to hear if there are any magazines or other publications that cater towards hunting in Africa?

African Outfitter and African Hunting Gazette

The big hunting orginizations also have publications if you become a member.
SCI - Safari Magazine
DSC - Game Trails
HSC - Hunter's Horn

Last I saw the African Hunting Gazette wanted about $1500 a year..I thought "Like Hell" for a magazine.

Website shows $45/year. They do have a lifetime subscription for $1000

Sorry Ack, you must have been drinking some bad stuff. One year subscription is $45.00. The country you live in could affect the price, but not by $1455.00!!!

I enjoy Hunters Path (hardcover, 4x issues per year, covers hunting around the world). Also Sporting Classics and Sports Afield are very good. Then there's African Outfitter, which is entertaining too.

My advice- go to the DSC or SCI convention and get free copies of all of them. Then decide which to subscribe to

I subscribe Hunters Path, Sport Afield, African Outfitter, African Hunting Gazette and many others. While I love Hunters Path and keep everyone, it's not all African. I purchased a subscription to African Hunting Gazette at DSC in 2018 for two years as they were giving away two books with subscription, but I will to be renewing. African Outfitter, I started that 2015. What I like about it - they have a drawing for an African Safari with a new subscription or renewal every year. I look at that, as buying a lottery ticket and getting the magazine as a bonus. The first year, I actually won the Safari @Wintershoek Safaris but was unable to take it in 2015 and due to miscommunication was unable to take it in 2016 too.

Give me a break.

Like @wesheltonj , I also subscribe to "Sports Afield" and "African Hunting Gazette." I am a life member of DSC and SCI, so I get those journals as well. The only other two that I currently get are "Double Gun Journal" and "Shooting Sportsman" - my SxS shotgun/rifle affliction runs just as deep as the African one.

I should note that I dumped Peterson's "Hunting" and "Guns & Ammo" several years ago after Bob died. Could only abide so much Craig Boddington and Red Necks/Tactical Wannabe's & ARs.

This reminds me:
I never renewed my "Guns and ammo" subscription, after they started writing about "Zombie guns".

So, now I am under 5 year subscription for "African Hunting Gazette".
And, probably, I will go for "Man-magnum" subscription, shortly.

Zombies and black guns don't do much for me either

not for a year, lifetime plus many perks besides, afton house visits,3 times, meet and greet 3 times, painting by kobus muller, etc, gun permits in advance,3 times or for 3 people once.etc.i did it back in early 2000s for ten years.renew now for two years as at 80,dont think i would make it for a life time, unless that life time was 3 years???????

I’ve pretty much cut out North American magazines, they have a lot less stuff in them and mostly the same stuff over and over. Used to subscribe to Shooting Times, Guns and Ammo, Peterson’s Hunting and the 3 Wolfe publications. Dropped them all
