Best Namibian Outfitter?

Hello all!
I'm am still on the search for an outfitter for a plains game hunt in 2021. I am looking for an impala,blesbuck,warthog and either a zebra or gemsbuck. The ideal hunt would be 7-10 days, i am currently trying to talk my sister into coming as an observer since nobody else will join me.I have looked through dozens of outfitters and have contacted the most interesting ones. At the moment believe i should go to Namibia. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Give a hard look at Kowas. The run a great operation. It is where I took my first safari and they did a great job.

There are many, many “best” Namibian safari companies who will help you create awesome memories!

Your safari is YOUR safari, not mine... but for what it is worth I would be pursuing species that are truly indigenous to Namibia.

I am sure there of plenty of great outfit's in Namibia to hunt with. I have spoke with several over the year's , and have decided to do a plains game hunt with Kowas. Cant find a nicer bunch, I have met them several times, I will let you know how it goes, and they have an excellent reputation.

I have hunted a few places over there and on many ranches all good hunts but some have more animals. I usually hunt solo so if your looking for a hunting buddy. I hope to return sometime around your time frame

You will enjoy Kowas Safaris. I had my first safari there with my wife and friends and we had an amazing time. Nothing is left to chance and the hunting is fantastic with quality mature trophies. The Strauss family and their operation are top notch.

Best is a big term and very subjective. Some hunters only feel if they were successful they hunted with the best guy out there. Other combine success and experience to the equation. My advise is to contact several of our sponsors here, look at the reviews and talk to them on the phone. Tell them what you expect and then weed them out so to speak. I can tell you Namibia is a fabulous place to have your first safari. It was mine. And I am going back in may of this year. Good luck.

The best outfitter is first honest and straightforward with their operation, pricing etc. After that, carefully define what and how you want to hunt, type of shots you want to take, size of the operation (biger one with other hunters to chat around fire at night or a smaller, more private atmosphere, etc). You might want to ask what kind of habitat they hunt- more open, forested, mixed? What would you prefer? Talk to outfitters and narrow down list to 3-5. Then talk to hunters that have been there and get a feel for their experience. Once you get down to a short list of good outfitters in Namibia, you really cant lose.

Thank you all for your input so far. Im not looking to stay in a 5 star lodge but not looking to sleep on the floor either haha. Looking for a good representative of the species, i would almost prefer that there be others in camp to socialize with at the end of the day. Have any of you hunted with Hartland Safaris or Uhlenhorst Safaris? They are at the top of the list right now
