Good morning from Western NY

I am a new member who has been lurking in the shadows of Africa Hunting.com for quite some time.
My wife & I recently booked a trip with Marius @ KMG safaris for May 29th-June 7th of 2019.
I started hunting with my Dad at the age of four years, it has been my passion since then for the last 51 years. Each fall finds me in Newfoundland hunting moose in September, then it's deer hunting in NY from November through most of December. I am employed by a large hunting/firearms retailer, a Barnes Advisory Staff member and avid shooter and reloader.
We are excited to finally fulfill a lifelong dream of hunting Africa with Marius and his team.

I hunted with Pawprint on my first trip over and am going back this July. We have many outstanding outfitters on this site. And with the previous moose hunts you have had, you already have stories to share with us!

I will be hunting Kudu, Gemsbok & Zebra and would like to add a fallow deer if time/chance permits. My wife is going as an observer but I hope she would like to take a couple animals of here own. She started hunting with me a couple years ago and has taken bucks both opening days with me by her side. 31 years of marriage and she finally gave in! I shoot a Cooper 52 300 Win mag mostly but have been working on a load for an older Sako Finnbear 338 WM. I am hoping to try out the Sako on moose this year and probably leading towards it for Africa with 225 gr TTSX bullets.

Does your wife use the 300 Win Mag. as well? I used Barnes 225 Gr TSX bullets in my 35 Whelen for my first African hunt.
I load my own and they may have been traveling a little faster than most. All shots on Waterbuck, Gemsbok and Blue Wildebeest were pass throughs. None of them traveled more than 40 yards. Two didn't make it half that distance. No follow up shots were required.
