Here is a short clip of a successful Cape buffalo hunt with one of our repeat clients we affectionately refer to as "Uncle Ken". Uncle Ken did not feel he was up to the physical challenge of potentially crawling around through the brush and thorns for a week, so he opted to hunt his buffalo from a hide which we were happy to oblige.... Uncle Ken made a very good, slightly quartering-to, shot that resulted in another great old bull in the salt with a bow and arrow. Congrats Uncle Ken!

Congrats Uncle Ken. Us old guys may need a few concessions as far as our hunting methods go but we can obviously still place our shots on target.

OLD GUYS RULE!

Ugh! I NEED to go back to Africa... watch those Limcroma guys, I caught a horrible disease from them and I’ll never be the same. Africa is forever in my blood!! Awesome hunt and video!

Great job Uncle Ken! Perfect shot. Congrats! (y)

Great video, got me pumped up for my buff hunt in August

Nice vid, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing. Do you know what weight arrow and broadhead he used?

Uncle Ken was using a Grizzlystik arrow shaft with a 200 grain Bishop Archery, 2-blade, single-bevel head. The total arrow weight was just over 950 grains.

Great video and congrats to Uncle Ken! I can't wait to get back and hunt with you guys again maybe after my NZ Red stag and Tahr hunt next year.

@Kusko

Ken was using this arrow above with a draw weight of only 65lbs. at a 28" draw length. The heavy arrow with significant foc distribution and the right broadhead is the key to generating the momentum necessary for good penetration. His arrow sunk to the fletches.
