Heres what I’m needing to find. A lodge that can hold three couples, men will bear hunt and women want to fish. I’m sure the men will fish too. It doesn’t have to be the greatest but nice. Doesn’t matter what province and looking for 2019 season. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Give BC Trophy Mountain Outfitters a call https://www.bctrophymountainoutfitters.com/ or shoot them an email. They can handle three couples at the ranch - not an Orvis endorsed lodge, but a very comfortable ranch with good meals and ensuite bathrooms with showers. They are located about six-hours ENE out of Vancouver.

I have hunted with them three times - twice for bear - with great success. They are primarily a hunting lodge but are adjacent to several small reservoirs/lakes with good trout populations. They also run a guide school in the summer and have quite a few horses. I am sure you could book a couple of days of trail rides for the girls as well. Also hanging around Vancouver for a few days after the hunt is a lot of fun with fabulous restaurants.

Prime hunting is mid-late May with boars just coming out of hibernation. You will see between twenty and thirty boars in a week of hunting and at least a third will be color-phase.

Some can be real bruisers!

Before I looked to Africa for an overseas hunt , I looked at Canada .
From the time I stared hunting ive dreamed of a moose and bear hunt in the canadian outbacks .
It was just to exspensive at the time , infact it was very expensive !!
Have things changed ?
Or is it the same ?
A lot of my hunting mates rate that as the ultimate hunting destination .
What are your feelings about the costs guys ?
Cheers Dory .

Just like Africa , the Outfitters use USD fee schedules.

There are decent deals to be had.

At least when you are not hunting it won’t be so expensive.

My research found BC to be a good buy for black bear and moose. The moose aren’t usually as large as the Yukon or Alaska, but the price is usually half as much. Black bear are a better deal in Canada than the US in my researching.
But deals can be found everywhere if you can afford the risk.
Travel, shipping costs to/from Africa plus since you will normally take a lot more game, the cost rises a lot.
JMO and experience.

How you want to hunt the bears changes the game considerably.
Bow hunt, bait, spot and stalk, camp, remoteness, spring, fall.

Do you want baited or spot and stalk? If baited you should try Alberta. Spot and stalk BC.

Remember, no more grizzly in BC.
