Trophy the film - let your voice be heard

So I'm selective....

I have my normal privacy set to "friends only." I don't care about everyone in the world seeing every one one my posts on FB.

Then when it's a conservation message I open it up to all. If the antis find it and won't place nice I block them. If they actually want to debate rationally I will do that. I made a post about my elephant and they found it eventually, which I had kind of hoped they would. I wanted my non hunting (and even hunting) friends to see how vicious they are.

I won't be intimidated. Once there were enough comments to make my point though I just started deleting them. I would have deleted the one morons face, but there were comments attached to that post that I didn't want to lose. Unfortunately if you delete a comment on FB all sub comments go with it.
Yeah I hear you about being intimidated. I wasn't. I just didn't have time for all the shit, and honestly, trying to have a rational discussion with extremists is draining.

The only showing they set up in Oklahoma was in an older theater in a Hispanic mall with no advertisement at all. Don't think it sold enough tickets to show but can't tell for sure.
Do you know who chose the venue's, and are they trying to hide it??

Certainly not trying to hide it but some of the big chain cinemas said NO! Docs don’t do much in the cinema and it’s a miracle this one ran so many places. On iTunes and all digital download services now CNN tomorrow, Sunday, night at 9PM Eastern time. I’ll get links up from my CNN debate and interview Monday.

I think the "bashing" is just reporting facts... but honestly there has to be more news in the world. I do not subscribe to any programming but I hope to catch the show on Utube. But I think that CNN is much like CBC, and I suspect it will report a slant that will be approved by the majority of it's viewers. Which is not to the benefit of wildlife....

That is what everyone says but CNN owns the film and wants people to watch it so they were very nice to me. Shockingly so! Chris Cuomo last night just gave me the floor to start the debate and then again to have the last word. I hammered that Born Free guy with MY Facts and he had nothing! I’ll post link when I get it.

Saw this tidbit today. I refuse to post a link to anything they have to day.

That Will Travers, who is in the film, is such a weakling. Just rhetoric and no action. He is chairman of Born Free Foundation. He was so mad that Trophy was not a hit job on hunters his voice was shaking!

Well done!

It is pretty sad that all the anti can do is pull numbers out of the air and not back it up with any specifics? Just saying "many studies" and "many countries" but never an actual exmaple even.

Phlip,
You nailed it!

Awesome! And thanks for the efforts and time you have put into trying to educate those who are on the fence with a balanced view.
I talk to many non Hunters about hunting and my experience in Africa, and the one thing that gives them empathy for hunting there, is hearing that the locals get benefit from the meat. That is an angle that could be enlarged upon.

Groups are trying to petition CNN to not show the film, but DSC is encouraging everyone to watch.

I see they are using the repeat the lie three times and it because the truth.

So the ARA and SCI both hate this film. Who woulda thunk it? LOL!

That’s what happens when you don’t produce one sided propaganda. Both ends hate the middle.

Especially when they are worried someone else might make money from it, instead of them!

Watched it with my mom. She seems to agree on the pragmatics of trophy hunting but is still uneasy about the philosophical implications of killing animals which is cool. She's also for rhino farming

Seems that CNN choose to broadcast another investigative program in the area where our license is, but the discussion with the directors was on before the program started.

I've been wanting to watch this since Phillip first mentioned it and posting here.

Only able to watch the first half but I was happy they truly showed both sides of the story. The good, bad and in-between.

I was raised a farmer so see that side, but was also raised as a hunter to hunt free range and ethical. I enjoyed seeing your hunt Phillip. I'd take a tent and walking over a pampered pool location any day of the week.

When the alligator hunt came on it actually surprised me. That is the opposite of my hunting spectrum. Everything from the hunter to the spot just didn't agree with me at all. But I get it. It's all legal. But to me that's what gives us hunters such a black eye to outsiders.

If I was an normal guy and only watched hunters like that one I'd think it was wrong too.

I hope to get to finish the rest and maybe try to get the wife to watch aswell. She's fine with all hunting except lions and elephant so I know it would be a hard watch for her but I'd want her to watch your hunt and try and see some facts from my side

WOW ! I too was not impressed with the croc . hunt ....but I'm proud to say Phillip represented us as a hunting community well ... I'll always say I'm a member of AH with out fear !

In all I would say very balanced ! Quite amazed that CNN would even dare to broadcast this. Obviously a few raised eyebrows on some issues. I commend Phillip. Would have liked to see more on what exactly Huntets Dollars bring towards Conservation though.
