This is a great opportunity. The experience of stalking a lion on foot, through the Kalahari sand, often mere feet from a 500 lbs apex predator, is incomparable.

I did this hunt with Francois about two years ago and will never forget it.

Hey Johnny, is this a captive bred lion since it is in S.A.? Just received an email today from DSC. It is official that DSC does not support captive bred lion hunting! I see another fist fighting thread about to begin when that DSC email hits this forum!

I assume it is. I believe any free range wild bred lion hunt would not sell at this price. The lion pictured above not long ago would have cost between 16-18k. Maybe more. I know it looked at it a few years ago.

Yes, hunts are in South Africa - hence the price.
Area is roughly 10 000 acres, in the Kalahari, 20km from the Botswana border.

Now that they have opened imports from two countries the price for a lion has skyrocketed to over $90,000 in thise countries. This Umlilo hunt makes taking a lion within reach of many of us.

I am pretty sure there are rules against unsolicited offers... I assume the reference is to other AH sponsor outfitters.
@BRICKBURN , I went looking for forum rules regarding offers but I couldn’t find them. They may be staring me right in the face, it wouldn’t be the first time I couldn’t see the forest for the trees Could you post a link to them?
