Gert was my ph when I hunted in Namibia with another company in 2007. He really worked hard to get me the best trophies possible during my hunt. In six days I killed a 5-inch steenbok, a 50-inch kudu, a 16.5-inch springbok, a 15.5 inch springbok, a 36-inch gemsbok bull and a big Hartmann's Zebra stallion all on communal land. This is all when I weighed 90 pounds more than I do now.
Gert is an awesome ph that I would hunt anything with anywhere.
I still think it was the most amazing hunt that I will ever experience. I've been told that guys spend their lives trying to recreate the magic of their first safari.

This hunt is now discounted for 2011 only. Take 10-percent off daily rates and 15-percent off trophy fees. Also, after the trophy oryx has been taken, hunt cull oryx for $100 each.

Gert, that sounds like a wonderful hunt. What distances do you travel per day, how much does each member carry, and what is the terrain like (so I can get my fitness levels up)? Will you also be offering hunts like these in 2012?

Great offer Gert,
I am everyone participating in such a hunt will put it up there as a high-light in their personal hunting experiences. It is different and very challenging.

I have hunted like this in the Ugab river (Namibia) years ago, also in the Northern Cape and Kalahari and today still - years after - it remains my hunting high-lights in the 33 years i hunted RSA and Namibia.

However, as i am residing in Namibia, and not being a trophy hunter, i would love to see you putting up a similar hunt package in 2012 for meat hunters only - i am convinced you will have a sell-out. I will deffenitely be very interested.

If anyone would like a backpack meat/cull hunt I'm sure we could arrange that. PM me if you are interested and I will get a price.

I will check on this. Yes, we will offer this hunt in 2012. But, the prices will probably rise a small amount.

I would also be interested in a biltong hunt like this.I don't do trophy's,although,if a 60 inch Kudu bull strolls past,I'll call my bank manager...!

Thanks Jriley,
So far it is myself and Docman (both Namibian residents) who are interested in backpacking meat/cull hunt. As this year's cull-hunting time is running out, keep us "biltong hunties" in mind when you do offer backpack hunts for 2012 please.

Self control out of the equation....:whistling:

Gert is hunting right now but will be back in a few days. As soon as I get the 2012 prices I will post them. If anyone would like to check availability for dates, just email me and I will get back to you as soon as I talk to Gert.

Thanks

Gert,

I understood you have been in contact with Docman of Walvis Bay re this hunting package (meat hunt) of yours. I hope you guys have not finalised arrangements without me.

Can you fwd me a price list for 2012 and available dates so me and Docman can come to an agreement and book a date with you please.

E-mail me at francois.maree@areva.com
