This push feed Model 70 has seen some action along the way, and shows a few nicks on the stock. I would put the blueing at 85%. There was a scope attached at some point and the filler screws are missing. There is also the base for a Williams receiver sight still attached. There is still a lot of life left in the old girl, and I'd like her to go to someone who can get some use out of her. Price is $600, plus shipping to your FFL.

Is this action Controlled Round Feed?

No sir, per the ad it's a push feed.

Phil do you need a 458?

Another fine rifle this evening, when is rains it pours :whistle::whistle:

Nope but I know others who do
Phil, I have one also, Super Grade, push feed, made 1964, near 100%, never hunted. One box through it, that I'm aware of. Rifle is far too light for the caliber IMO. If you have multiple friends looking for this model/caliber rifle, I'll make pics and send them to whoever you advise.

Well if this one doesn't sell, I'll pass that along.

No rush, it's not going anywhere, just occupying space in the safe for the past three years!

I WANT THIS GONE GENTLEMEN, PRICE DROP TO $525 plus shipping.

Gun arrived today! Thanks Bruce. She is actually in better condition than you made it out to be. Thanks for a smooth easy transaction

Just wanted to say thanks again.
I did some modifications to her. Lengthen the pull back to 13 1/2, added 10oz Mercury reducer to it. Topped it off with a Leopold VXi 2-7 fire dot.
Just shot her today! 2 inch group at 200 yards with Barnes 450 grain TXS. Thanks again

Sounds like a shooter! Curious to know if you have a with/without comparison for the Mercury reducer? I've got a .404J built on a M70 that is proving to be a shooter. It's intended for my wife, but it's a bit light and thus recoil is a little more than I care to put her thru. So I will definitely add weight and also gave consideration to one of these reducers.

I did fire 2 rounds out of it when it arrived. Decided to install Mercury after that. It has made it more manageable for sure. I have Mercury reducers in 3 rifles now.

Congrats, what a great gun! I hope it gets to Africa to do some hunting.

This was my first really heavy rifle (after a 375 H&H). I think I paid more for mine way back in 1985!!!

Great deal on a good rifle!

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
