Hello everybody.

I am glad to be part of the Africa Hunting.com community. My name is Jay Jay and I am from Manila, Philippines.

I had the pleasure of hunting with Arthur Stone of Blackstone Safari and Vim of Chacma Safari Lodge last year June 2016. I was able to shoot a Cape buffalo which made me hunt him for 4 whole days! It was quite an experience. And a very nice trophy Kudu.

The experience of hunting in Africa is addicting. I cannot stop thinking of doing it again soon. I am dreaming of hunting Gemsbok in Namibia next year. I hope to learn a lot from all your experience.

Thank you.

Hello Cody.

It is a Sako 375 H&H that was lent to me by Arthur Stone of Blackstone Safari's. It had a 1-4 power scope that was perfect for the hunting that I did. I also attached a bullet retrieved from the Kudu. I just do not know what bullet type it is but it performed superbly.

Do you hunt in the Philippines? If so, what type of game is available and what firearms do you use?

Umfortunately, hunting of any kind is not allowed in our country. There are people who do duck and pigeon hunting with shotguns and 22 rifles with suppressors. There are people who go after deer, wild pigs and feral water buffalo. They however, do this with the risk of getting jailed and having their rifles/shotguns confiscated by the government. That is why I just hunt oversees.

Jayjay, I thought was the case before I sent wrote the post asking about it. I have a friend that met a gal online and moved to the Philippines. He gave me all of his reloading equipment his son got all of the firearms. On another one of your threads you were asking about a short barreled rifle's effectiveness. Was that just out of curiosity or are you thinking about buying one?
