I suspect the number for Botswana is underestimated or underreported. According to local people a more accurate number today is about 170.000..

Zimbabwe seems low from what I hear and Tanzania seems high.

Wonder how they got the estimate of 1 elephant in Senegal. Did they stop in at the zoo in Dakar
