Hunted
US, Canada, Middle East(does that count)
I was at work yesterday, when a former co-worker (now assigned to a new unit), checked in because they were going to be in the area. We were catching up and I mentioned my recent Lion hunt. His partner went crazy with a spew of anti hunting shite. Now to be gentle this woman was "well fed" and clearly no Vegan. So I lashed back at her. I started with something like, "Your opinions would matter, if they werent so wrong" and "enjoy your hamburger at lunch today". I have found that shocking those people is a much better (and more satisfying) method of ending the conversation. They wont come around to any sort logic; but they do know their rights and they do know how to protest and they do know how to legislate; so no amount of trying to convince them the world isnt flat or the earth really revolves around the sun will work.

Shame them for their stupidity--its almost as much fun as poking them with sticks....

Stupid does hurt, though it is not always the purveyor that is the victim.

Give serious consideration to the big stick next time.

I hope you did not profile her by her size if she ate meat or not. After all some people are just big boned. LOL You should have poked her with a sharp stick to let some of that hot air out of her.

I just tell them to kiss my fat ass!

Being polite or blowing them a kiss has a much better effect. If you get angry or sarcastic, you are giving them the satisfaction of knowing they got to you. I've noticed they get more flustered and confused on what to do next when you respond in an unexpected way.

I was seriously tempted to show her the KILL SHOT pic with the blood still flowing; but I figured that would push her into cardiac arrest, and while the dead fish flopping on the floor would make a great youtube video, they usually bescumber and that odor would last for days....sorry Im just not that tough

Where's the manners with some people? Why cause a fuss at lunch in a work environment because you disagree with someone over something that is legal? I wouldn't even dream of saying something to a vegan or even a card carrying communist in a social situation like that. Worst case if the person was just a complete evil reprobate I would excuse myself but certainly not make things unpleasant for everyone. I don't get it.

I had a neighbor tell me that she thought my photo of me posing with an eland I had shot would have been better if I had been posing with a dead hunter's head.

Unbelievable. Totally nuts.

I have taken a page from their book. We traditionally have been silenced by the left by accusations of racism, bigotry and other insults. I relish hurling the racist/bigot accusation at the left and they cringe and fold like cheap arse wipe. They can dish it out but can't take it. It works well and I use it every chance I get. Stand and fight or be shamed into silence and they win.

Well done silencing that cow

Did you tell her there is a special place where we could make that happen for her if she was willing to sign some paperwork and could get her affairs in order!

Tell her there is another lion hunt for sale to raise money for conservation and she is welcome to pay $40,000 to not kill it.

I really want to buy a game farm in South Africa and when confronted by those people, straight up ask them how many elephants they own. How many acres of land did you personally and directly buy to set aside for animal conservation?

I find they are happy to say things like "If you cared about that animal, you would give the money and not kill it" but the reality is they are just wanting to spend somebody else's money for animal conservation, not their own and certainly not at a level that will provide enough economic incentive to preserve them.

And I seriously cannot wait for the day I get in a debate with somebody about some animal they want to "educate me" about and shoot back, "I own 40 giraffe, you own none and you are going to teach me about giraffe?" Maybe next year...

I have done a couple of things that pretty much end all anti's conversations and points.

Locally, I donate 1/2 the deer I kill to sportsman against hungry. Each lbs of deer meet equates to 4 meals. I donated 6 deer last year and 2 already this year. If you figure 50lbs of meat per deer (most I donate are old big deer), that's 200 meals. That's 1600 meals over the last 16 months or so.

In Africa, I took a picture of all the people gathered around to get their piece of my elephant. Probably over 100. The moment they go how do you know they got the meat, I show the picture and I say I saw it.

The other thing I did was dart a Rhino, talk about medical, dna, etc that they did and how that money helps provide the owner with funds to keep it and protect it.

Yeah between those 3 things, they are pretty left saying well I brought some can goods to a food drive. My reply is usually, well that's cute.
