I'd like to introduce BRNO 600. She arrived as 7lbs 2oz and her cal is 7x57 and is very spunky! Her brothers and sisters (.223, 8x68S, 375H&H & 458 Lott) are excited about the new arrival. Seriously though this is one pretty rifle. The wood is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. I've been looking for one of these for a while. It is in near mint condition say for a couple of safe "kisses"
Looking forward to scoping it up and taking her to the range.

Thanks. I like the calibre so much I have 5 rifles in 7x57. My wife thinks I'm nuts! Everybody else just knows I am. :sneaky:
It doesn't show through that well on the pics but the wood has nice dark grain lines to it. It's one of the nicer BRNO stocks I've seen.

Yeah real nice looking rifle! Congrats

What other 7x57's do you have @8x68 ?

Winchester Featherweight 7x57
Ruger M77 (Tang Safety) 7x57
CZ 550 FS 7x57
Interarms Mark X (Made in Manchester, England) 7x57

Looking at a Whitworth K98 Mauser in 7x57. Similar to Interarms but I believe this was the predecessor to it.

Congrats on the family addition!

Nice, I have a 1994 ZKK 600 in 7x57. Has the set trigger but no aperture sight. Also has the plainer English style stock. Has a hugely long throat.

So what works best for you? 175gr RN's?

lovely rifle and a GREAT caliber

I own a Winchester Mod 70 Supergrade in 7x57 , it is one of my favorite rifles .

@8x68 I've got 162gr spire points loaded up at the moment, but over the next week will work up a load with 175gr Hornadys. I've got them seated .284 into the neck and there are no rifling marks on the projectile.
I've got the 162gr doing 2700 so hope to get 2600-2650 with the 175gr.

Thanks for the info. I have a ton of bullets 160gr and up for the 7x57. Strangely enough what worked very well in my Interarms Mark X were the Speer 145gr Gold Match bullets. Using 39gr of IMR 4064, Remington case & CCI primers I consistently shot 5 shot 1/4" groups at 100yds. Average velocity of 5 shot string was 2322fps. Once velocity increased above 2500fps groups started to open up dramatically. I know the rate of twist is more suited to heavier bullets especially the 175gr range but I thought it was odd the lighter bullet shot so well. I guess I found the "comfort spot" for the lighter bullet.

@8x68 went out today. Got the 175gr Hornady roundnose to 2600fps comfortably with ADI2209/H4350. Can probably go another grain and get about 2650 without a problem. Primers are nicely rounded and show no signs of pressure.

Congrats, beautiful gun!
