And what’s your guide that you follow word for word down to the tiniest detail on your daily routine of righteousness?

Emphasis on the word for word part, because you did say it’s absolute

I’ve seen X get broken by nearly every member at one point or another whenever a beautiful rifle gets posted.

And I agree and try to follow this. But even this has interpretation. Many who follow it have crucifixes or images of Jesus in their house. Other believe that those depictions are graven images. Who’s right? It is a matter of opinion.

The base sentiments are correct but there is always a line drawing exercise at some point.

But it does have context. There are religions that believe eating shellfish is wrong or eating meat. They are correct given their context. Most people don’t give it a second thought because it doesn’t impact them in any way. You believe suicide is always wrong based on your context. Not everyone shares that.

Given that suicide doesn’t harm you that context should be afforded a degree of respect. It gets complicated when one persons brief system causes a risk that harm or negatively impact another person.

@Russ16 I believe your logic is flawed, let me explain. You state that a suicide should be okay, since it doesn’t harm me. Well, if someone is murdered, it doesn’t harm me, so by your logic, that’s okay. If a bank is robbed and it’s not my bank, that’s okay too. If someone drives 100mph in a 25 mph school zone, that’s okay by your thinking.

Your logic makes no sense. Societies have the right and obligation to discern what is acceptable and what is not acceptable, and write laws accordingly.

How many members followed Hebrews 13:4?

Dispose of your infants in the womb, dispose of your elderly and sick. None of them are in the work force. Who’s counting? ((Shrug)).

May want to start shielding your retarted, crippled and homeless in Canada.

Of course not. The murder doesn’t harm you but it harms the person murdered. You’re intentionally taking what I said too literally.

Society has rules against speeding in a school zone because of the potential for harm. That said I’m not sure it is morally wrong just against the law. There are lots of laws that allow an orderly society that are not morally wrong just things society agrees on to keep
The peace.

That’s a good starting list, but it leaves plenty of gaps in everyday life to fill with your own decisions as to what’s right and what’s wrong. Which was exactly my point.

The lying, two-faced, POS, “philanthropist” Bill Gates, who played the trendy, enviro hand like a fiddle, now says man made global warming/climate change is no big deal. The arrogant richardnoggin thinks the public won’t notice his hypocrisy since the MSM won’t cover it? All in for forcing “green” crap like wind mills and solar panels down everyone else’s throats until he figured out they can’t generate enough juice for his bottom line $baby…. AI :):) So much for hero worship and green icons ;)

Robbing a bank is wrong. If I rob a bank to feed my family, does that make it acceptably right?
In the end, man is neither judge or jury to what is morally acceptable.
That will come on the day before the white throne of judgement, if you are a believer
If not, ....well ....that's up to you, and not me.

I can respect your stance

Me for one. God draws the line, not men. How can you use the actions of men to judge the validity of the laws of God? Surely you can see the flaw in that logic?

I understand the appeal of assisted suicide or whatever they are calling it these days.

Who wants to suffer in the end?

You can go up to Oregon, register as a resident, get a pill from a doctor, and lay down and expire. Easy peasy

Personally, I would rather die like a dog in the dirt, before I would ever compromise my ability to enter the kingdom of heaven.

But that's just me ....

Me as well.

Sadly I know many that have not honored their vows. Some are people close to me that I care deeply about…

But that’s a line I will not cross…

That said.. I’m flawed just like every other man.. we are all broken.. God recognizes that and understands it… none of us are perfect… the expectation isn’t that we reach the mercy seat unblemished… we merely need to accept Christ and then spend the rest of our time here, whether that’s 5 minutes or 50 years, trying our best to reflect Christ in all we do…

I wake up every day and do my best… and every day I fail…

I think God is ok with that..

Exactly! What is incredible is that if we have placed our trust in Christ, we do reach the throne unblemished!

LOL...right or wrong is absolute. It does not "evolve".....unless you are a liberal who makes up rules as you go.
It is not absolute. It differs with culture and society. Heck, something like age of consent and minimum age for marriage has evolved within the USA last several years.

I’d offer that it’s incredibly complex as well…

For example in US society the act of stealing is wrong. Period.

In some Arab tribal cultures getting CAUGHT stealing is actually the wrongful act…which is very different… what it amounts to is you weren’t smart/crafty/wise enough to get away with it, therefore you should be punished…

So.. in both cases, if someone knows you stole something.. there are consequences… but the reason why there are consequences is very different…

Is anyone else curious as to why the MSM is virtually silent on the riots taking place in Mexico that make Jan 6th look rather mild?

The footage he shows is mostly from Mexico City, however I have heard such things are taking place all over Mexico.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
