New to me lovely old Holland made between 1899 and 1905. I've ordered the history of it from Holland and Holland. The barrels have been re-blacked and the stock refinished at some point. The bores are excellent and it locks up nice and tight.
Components and dies are on the way. Now if my shoulder will hurry up and heal up , I'll be shooting.

Those Dominion Hollands are widely regarded as the most robust and reliable side lock of the era.
So much you can do (with style) with that rifle! Congratulations !

And Midway happens to have 270gr round nose bullets on the cheap that would be rather “pukka” in that rifle!

Yep, I received 2 boxes earlier in the week.
I ordered 200 myself for my 375 Rimless Express.
It’s a Mauser so I can use the spire points too but the RN bullets just look so proper in that cartridge.
9.5X56 owners should jump on these bullets!

Are there pics of your Mauser somewhere?

For those of us less familiar with it, could you provide more information on the 375 2 1/2?

Nice rifle & a very nice under rated cartridge, I have a few of them, all bolt guns, would like to try one regulated for the 320gr load but really the 270gr is more than needed on the game you should be shooting with the 2.5in, I use 200, 220gr, 235gr, 250gr some meant for the .375Win which are getting a bit hard to find now days.

It is a Lot more than the .375Win & Not a .303 Brit case necked up, you could use them (30/40 Krag & modified .444Marlin, 405Win) but loads do work best in the proper cases.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
