They aren't required to, my suggestion would require them to. Suddenly the younger single woman might pay a little more attention to foreign policy and world events other than where the latest influencer is going.

A few days before the election, I heard a news report that Iowa might be in play. Polls supposedly showed that Harris might flip Iowa from red to blue.

Let the record show that Trump carried Iowa by a large margin, +13%.

Interestingly, all of these things that you mention were seriously considered and debated during the Constitutional Convention. Many very bright and influential men in attendance asserted that only those who had skin in the game such as property owners, business owners, and those with formal educations should have the right to vote... The original exclusion of women and African Americans is a testament to that rationalization...

I actually do think some sort of "skin" in the game should be required to vote beyond merely being an 18-year-old citizen of the country... Voting is a tremendous responsibility that has historically required no basis for earning that responsibility. Maybe that should change...

Personally, I feel that a fair proxy of the original intent would be that you have to actually pay income tax to vote. I’m sure that somehow makes me a racist or a bigot.

I realize there are lots of false claims and misinformation across social media, but the other day there was someone in the D.C circle of politics that claimed the whitehouse had intel that showed if Biden ran for president, Trump would get 400 electoral votes......in steps Harris 100 days before the election.

I don’t think it is for them to vote illegally, but for them to vote for Democrats once they get citizenship. Hence, the push for “path to citizenship “.

Just to be clear, I am not advocating for that, just pointing out Democrats long term game plan.

I don't think the Democrats have any qualms with people voting voting illegally. But either way it is a blatantly obvious plan to take over our government and to institute fundamental change in America. Not to directly quote Obama but that was his announced plan and a major campaign slogan of his.

There is a huge difference between an ID and "RealID" that proves citizenship. Requirement for the latter is pretty stringent as I mentioned previously.

I have a "real id" as well, but, drivers license is not that big a deal to get, neither is state issued id (my son is a "handicapped" kid and can't drive and so has the state id)

regardless, those who vote should be able to prove they are a citizen, since there are plenty in the us that cannot prove it.

Of course women could be required to register. They can register without being drafted. Seperate issues.

It is a creative and simple way to attempt to ensure the ID and status of a voter.

Before you edited your post, your statement was very direct and clear.

POTUS lacks the power or authority pass a law..

And based on his last term and Trumps inability to get even republicans to legislate his primary agenda items, much less have republican justices to support initiatives (ie Roberts decision to recognize ACA as a tax).. it’s a bit far fetched to believe he’s going to be able to push something like a national ID for the purpose of correcting election fraud concerns..especially when he has been extremely clear that he supports states rights and less federal government intrusion into those rights…

Every country in the World has a National ID, so why not here? BTW, pushing for all citizens to register for selective service as others have suggested is a Federal thing as well I think. I don't see how having a National ID would intrude into States' rights.

Agree. After all, in sense, isn't having a US passport to exit and re-enter as a US citizen much the same as having a National ID(?).

I agree - but strange allies like the ACLU and Libertarians have opposed one very effectively. The right has tended to support the Libertarian view that it represents a form of government monitoring of citizens (like those dollar bills with metallic strips) , and the left has supported the ACLU in the view it would represent a particular burden for poorer and minority classes and groups. As a result, there has been little traction and nothing likely will be done by the sensible people in the middle.

Remember, Joey said no amendment was absolute. He was talking about the 2nd Amendment but I would assume the 19th would be included.
