Hunted
New Zealand . Namibia .
Im wanting to go to Namibia next year (2015 ) for a PG hunt . The problem is i want to go for a 20 day hunt probably including a cull hunt . I want to take about 5 trophy animals and would like to hunt in 2 or 3 areas . I know you can take an animal a day on most places but I want to enjoy the hunting . Im not going to tick the boxes I want to go hunting to enjoy Africa . Not the 50 hours there and back 9 animals in 10 days sort of hunt .
Any ideas on who could help me or am I asking to much ?
Cheers Dory

thanks

I hunted with him several years ago & he was amenable to negotiating fees as I wasn't after big game or "top ten trophies"... Might be worthwhile to email him re: what you are looking for & then talk about fees...

Give Jack Atcheson Jr a call http://www.atcheson.com/ . His job as a consultant is to put together a hunt based upon your desires and resources. The family has been in the business forever, and I have used them since 2006.

Hi Dory. PM me for details on a Namibian Outfitter.

No one will have any issue with you taking more days to hunt.
Chat with any of the Namibian Outfitters here and they will make suggestions about options for you.

thanks , I thought most outfitters would rather have more hunters shooting more trophies in shorter hunts .

My experience is they tailor hunts to what people want, if they can.
Less pressure on everyone.
I like longer hunting trips myself.

Depends but usually not. If a private, behind a game fence ranch, then your outfitter is making his margin on daily rates, trophy fees, and tips. If he his guiding on tribal concessions, conservancies, or low fence cattle ranches, his profits come from the daily rate and tips with trophy fees going to either the government/ conservancy/ or ranch owner. In the latter case, a longer hunt is in his interests.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
