I am again looking at a hunting property in Zimbabwe, about 5000 acres. I has some small hills and a creek, the rest is bush. It is between harare and the valley Just off the main road. Title is looking good due to the circumstances and the neighbor is a game operation owned by a German which is another 7000 acres. They have most of the game. This property has a scattering of remaining wildlife but no buffalo at the moment. Current price is $800k. If anyone is interested let me know. Thanks.

I guess I am not following your post completely. Are you looking to buy it and want investors?

Photos of the land and improvements might help your chances. When you say "title is looking good", what does that mean. In Zim right now is any title good?

If this is raw land you may want to do some more checking around. When I was asking about raw land prices in Zim earlier this year, there were better deals out there. One, if I remember correct was 8,000 acres with an asking price of $50,000 USD. This property still had some game on it and if the bore holes are fixed would probably attract more.

If you are looking to buy, you might want to contact some of the Zimbabwe PH's. They will have a pretty decent feel as to what the true market value is. If you are looking for a hunting property/game farm, you might just find a working partner. If I was looking to buy in Zimbabwe I would spend 2-4 weeks driving around the country after making a number of appointments prior to the trip. Zim could be close to the bottom of the market, then again....... I would want to see some positive improvements before putting my money there. Be very careful. Property Rights has a whole different meaning in Zimbabwe. Caveat Emptor.

All the best.

I believe Rastaman is from Zim.

I didn't even know you could purchase land in Zim?

Yes, from zim, prefer florida. I agree completely with the concerns expressed by Wheels, except maybe about the price. Price and security of title go together. I'm also unsure if it is at the bottom and improving. It appears to be. The Chinese alliance has allowed some investment but the lack of stability due to property rights issue is being slowly understood by those in power. In the past there was some interest with this group in putting something together. If not I completely understand. Thanks.

Ran across this today.........

http://www.newzimbabwe.com/news-16554-Bob+Remaining+white+farmers+must+go/news.aspx

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe on Wednesday ratcheted up pressure against few hundred white remaining farmers saying they too must go adding whites would no longer be allowed to own land in Zimbabwe.
In an address filled with anti-western rhetoric at the launch of the A1 Model Settlement Tenure Permit in the Zanu PF heartland of Mashonaland West, Mugabe said Zimbabwe was no country for whites as far as the land was concerned.
“There are white farmers who are still on the land and have the protection of some cabinet ministers and politicians as well as traditional leaders,” he said.

Bush tracts up here in much of Alaska are way cheaper than one might ever guess.
However, the only species here in abundance these days are mosquitos and biting gnats.
I only wish that I could own a place in Africa.
Those of you who can have my envy.
