Sniping is a good word for it.

saw them at SCI, the salesman thought it was great showing me and scott how far they were shooting when they were in SA trying them out, but we both walked off thinking it wasnt how shall we quite right..............

I watched this at the SCI convention for twenty seconds.
The results are obvious. I walked away disgusted.
This is not hunting.

Here are some snap shots of the results.
I marked the impact points and in some cases exits. (as best as possible)

Ethical, my ass! :O= (VOMIT)

Im sure the only reason this thing is on the general market is because the US govt cant afford to buy the rights for the military! ;)

For defensive purposes, this system is the cat's ass. For hunting, not so much. Mike is right we walked away kinda shaking our heads. It just didn't leave a lot of room for human error, plus (in my mind anyway) it doesn't seem much like hunting when you watch the video. Range estimation is kind art that we are slowly loosing anyway, and this system just made it idiot proof...

All that being said, this system would make a good military sniper great, and would make a great sniper damn near unstoppable.

All three of us walked away from that booth and we were all shaking our heads.

Judging by the marksmanship in the snap shots.
I do not really see any improvement in marksmanship over an everyday rifle scope.

Perhaps they should spend some more time at the range before hoping that technology will save them.

I think the regular tools have this beat by a "long shot". Pun intended.
(In a masters hands)

Confirmed distances:

Current Record: UK Household Cavalry - Life Guards @ 2475M (2707 Yards) that is almost 2.5 Kilometers.

Previous Record by a Canadian of the PPCLI @ 2430M (2657 Yards)

There is an (currently) unconfirmed report out to 2815M shot. (3079 Yards)

Shitty fundamentals will still make for shitty shots. All this is going to do is give crappy shots a false sense of security. As someone who has spent the last 25 years being trained and practicing the skills it takes to make a long distance precision shot his sytem offends me.

:agree:

Good technology ... Bad application

Yes sir, all three of us were. You just couldn't stomach it as long as Mike and I  Turned around, and the Brick was gone:bolt:

scott i had forgotten wayne was looking at that with us when the salesman started talking, as you say he didnt hang around :bolt: we are obviously far more polite ;):biggrin2:. trouble is the more info he gave and the more excited he got showing the shots and distance, the more bored and uninterested i got :dozingoff::bored:

Not for me either, this isn t hunting.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
