That‘s a real beauty, Krish ! What action is it built on ?

Krish,
What are the specs on this rifle?
Specifically weight, length of pull, barrel length?

Weight 10lbs on my bath room scale may be 10.5lbs.
Length of pull 14 inches. That is from the trigger to back of but pad.
Barrel length from the tip to the action is 13.5 inches with out counting the threads.

Noted how the stock is relieved behind the tang; according to my g'smith and my stockmaker (separate blokes) this is essential, especially on heavier recoiling rifles; stops/eliminates cracking.

I had a Caesar Guerini 12Gauge Sporting Clay O/U crack behind tang due to the manufacture not leaving any separation there. Needless to say they replaced the butt stock and the replacement had a separation that has held up fine for many thousand rounds since.

Oh man what a beaut. Would you perhaps take a kidney or a first born child? I get to keep the Granbaby tho.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
