AH Get Together In Dallas During Dallas Safari Club (DSC) Convention 2014

It Was Great meeting all the great members and friends at the DSC AH Dinner hope to see you all back there again next year. :D

I had a blast at the AH dinner.

The good news is I got to meet, share stories and have fun with some really neat people.

The bad news is I only met about half the people that were at the dinner. That is certainly my loss and I hope to meet more of you next year.

Another "shout out" to Phil for all the effort in putting the dinner together. A special thanks to Cliffy and Carol and any others that helped with the dinner. More thanks go out to Jerome/AfricaHunting.com and Jacques and the HartzView gang for helping to support the event financially.

Finally a special thanks to Jerome for providing this website that brings together a diverse international group of people that share a special love and passion.

To all the AH community, may 2014 be a fun and successful hunting year.

Hey guys,

Finally in our room without a voice but what a great show! I would like to thank you guys for attending the dinner and a great night! We truly enjoyed ourselves and were looking forward on seeing you guys again next year.... Think we need to increase the tickets...... Hahaha

Best regards,

Jacques

Jacques I agree with you completely. Nuff said lol

Well the flight crew had to wake me up last night when my plane landed in Phoenix, what a great time we had at DSC. I'm not sure if Jacques is trying to make me into a 20 something year old again or age me quicker! :D

I would like to take one more opportunity to thank everyone who came out to the dinner, Cliffy and his wonderful wife Carol for their support in planning this.

I would again also like on behalf of all of use who attended this dinner to thank our sponsors for the event:

Jacques Spamer / HartzView Safaris
Paul Truccolo / Southern Safaris
Jerome Philippe / AH Site Owner

Thanks again gentlemen!

Hey guys,
Just to reinterate what everyone has already said....we had a great time Friday night! I applogize to all that were there that I didn't get around to introducing myself to, so you can put a face to the name (probably not such a good thing anyway..lol) Thanks to Phil, Clffy, Jacques (I think in my alchohol induced state I called you Louis one time...Sorry Jacques!!!), Paul and Jerome for putting everything together.
See alot of you in Vegas in a few weeks!!

My apologizes to PaulT/Southern Safaris for not mentioning your help in supporting the dinner.
All the best.

I had a great time at the convention and dinner. I special thanks to Phil for putting it all together and everyone else that helped hope to make it next year. Lenny

PHIL, a HUGE THANK YOU to you for taking the initiative to plan and put this event together at DSC.

Thanks also to Cliffy and his wife, and any others who for helped to make this dinner happen.

I would also like to thank Jacques Spamer from HartzView Hunting Safaris for his generous support of this event and years of sponsorship of AH and our community.

Thank you to Paul Truccolo from Southern Safaris for supporting this event as well, it is very appreciated.

I am glad that you all had a blast and regret having missed it.

Jerome,
Phil deserves all the credit. He did the heavy lifting. Our involvement (my wife and I) was only ancillary to the entire effort. We checked folks in and made name tags but it was sure fun to meet everyone as they came in.
I wonder what next year holds? Hmmmm
I'm counting the days already.

The wife & I are happy to help any way we can.... Downtown Dallas is very close to our home. If it takes stress & pressure off of Phil & Cliffy doing it all via Phoenix, we'd be happy to help. Looking forward to next time!

Appreciate the comments gents. It was not too big of a deal to setup...though I was a bit stressed at the dinner as I wanted to make sure it was a good time for all.

Unfortunately while everyone I think did have a fun time there were a few issues with the restaurant, number one being I and I know others thought the amount of food they brought out was nowhere near enough for a party of 50. So next year, I'll be looking for a new place. In fact I do believe I've already found it.

That's right, without a doubt we will have this dinner again. I can't confirm the dates this early with the place I'm looking at. However I trust everyone will like a steak dinner and will like paying LESS than we did this year. I'll know more in the April/May timeframe when they can open the calendar. Paul Truccolo and I attended a dinner at this restaurant on Thursday night and both enjoyed it. They also have room for up to 80.

Phil..you guys did a great job. I'll be there again next year and hopefully some of the folks that didn't make it this year will be there next year.

A thought for next years dinner.

What do attendees think of spending 15 minutes going around the room and introducing themselves?

This may have already been hashed out and I don't want to regurgitate it if it has. I understand if we grow much more next year in may be impractical.

Thoughts?

Hey Bob.....I like it

"Hi everyone! I'm "Buff-Buster", aka:Wes and I'm addicted to AH!.......

That's a great idea. I didn't get to meet about 1/2 the group.

Hello again everyone,
Deidi and I finally made it home last night
after a couple of long days travelling from Texas.

Firstly, I would like to make my apologies to everyone whome I did not get a chance to meet at the dinner.
My natural awkwardness and poor hearing make it difficult for me in these public type of surroundings, but I vow to make a greater effort to "circulate" and mix at next year's event.

I wish to congratulate Phil on his effort in organising a fantastic event and providing a facility for all of us who attended to meet and put a name to faces. Well done Phil.

Both Deidre and I greatly enjoyed meeting those of you who we did meet, all very fine poeple, keen hunters and VERY, VERY good company !
I will attempt to name all the names for fear I may leave someone out.

We had a tremendous time meeting and chatting with "y'all" and sincerely look forward to the same event next year.

Before I go another tip of the hat to both Phil, for organising, and Jaques, for his financial contribution, to what was an excellent evening, one of many to come.

Cheers to all,

Paul.

Hey Paul,
Glad you made it home safely. I really enjoyed meeting you at the dinner and cussing and discussing calibers, loads, bullet performance etc.... If our wives hadn't dragged us off to socialize, we might still be there! I tried to get by your booth and the CEB booth, but with working my own I never had the time. Hopefully one day we can continue the discussions around a campfire in the Northern Territory! Maybe we need to put together a four or five member "AH Buffalo Hunt"!
