Zimbabwe hunt with HHK Safaris
Completed an awesome hunt with HHK Safaris in the Dande South Region of Zimbabwe. After a couple of bad experiences in Africa it was nice to have trip completed without anything going wrong. My 18 year son took a 50lbs elephant and leopard with a bow. Which was the two animals we'd booked for. Our traveling companions were skunked but had opportunities. Enjoyed the staff and the camp and would recommend them.
Dakota shot this 50 lbs Zim elephant with a Bow. Got clean pass through. AMAZING! Dakota thanking God for this opportunity.

WyoWes, Thanks for sharing your time with your son in Zim and congratulations to him for taking his Elephant and Leopard with a bow. Did you hunt as well?

Jerome,
I shot a baboon and an Impala for bait but that was it. In our previous trips to Africa I've take a few of my bucket list animals, but I'm mostly the cameraman.

Thanks Enysse,
He's been very blessed and has accomplished alot for his age. I can get him there, but he has to make the stalk and shot, and hasn't lost an animal yet. In fact in Africa he's not had a animal go more than 100 yards. Love this kid! What's to be a PH, but we got burn very badly on our 2009 and 2010 trips not sure he'll want to go back to Africa to work.

WyoWes, Thanks for posting some pictures of Dakota's trophies, he has already an extensive collection of species with a bow, nicely done on his part!

Tom,
It was an 80lbs Hoyt Carbon Matrix bow, with Easton Full metal Jacket Dangerous Game arrow, 17.5 gr per inch at 33 inches, with a 125 Gr Magnus solid broadhead. got very lucky and got a pass through. Exited out the opposite shoulder.
Dakota shot this in the Chirundo area in the Zambezi valley. One arrow ran less than 60 yards.

Wes, nothing short of outstanding.
Congratulations to both Dakota and yourself for these incredible accomplishments.
To have taken four of the big five with a bow at his age, (at anyone's age), is an incredible statement of the young man he must be and just as significant is for you to support, encourage and facilitate this displays the incredible bond you must have as Father and Son.
Again my sincerest congratulations to both of you, may you both enjoy many more hunts together as Father/Son team.

HvanL,
We saw lots of buffalo, in fact on the stalk for this elephant we had a herd of 30 so mess up our tracks and add about 1hr to the stalk. I'm trying to attach a picture of the herd.
