    Ibie,
I have not been in Luangwa Valley. Yet reading your article made me fell like I was part of the team in the background. Nicely written capturing all the interesting moments. Congratulations for a good and memorable hunting safari.

The above article is not only very well written, but brings back some very good memories for me! My favorite place in all Africa to hunt is the Luangwa Valley of Zambia! Ibie's mention of seeing Leopard in broad daylight is a common experience in the Luangwa Valley. Lion, and elephant are seen in abundance as well, and the Luangwa river holds some of the best Croc, and Hippo in Africa, also in abundance. There are animals in the Valley that exist almost no place else.

A short ride in the hunting car will yeald an abundance of wild life that is worth the long plane ride, even if you never fire a shot, but the hunting is outstanding and the thacthed camps along the river are the best. Not quite roughing it, but not a 5 star hotel either, a very happy medium.

Zambia is a place I simply love to hunt, and there are many good hunting places but for general bag including the cats, and Buffalo the Luangwa Valley is the best of all. Still I would love to hunt the Western concessions as well with Fairgame!
