And here I was concerned about taking a 257Roberts and 25-06 with 120gr Swift A-Frame bullets for plains game. Thinking I might not have enough gun to do the job. I was going to start working up some 647gr Barnes bullet loads for my 50BMG. I see now that they are all too big. The only trouble now is all of my 22RF are semi-auto. Guess I will need to get another rifle before going to South Africa next year.
I was actually considering a Drilling with the top 2 barrels 22LR and the bottom one 22Mag for that last follow up shot as it disappears into the brush.

You know Sammy, it is well known among those who have hunted all over the world (Cliffy of Cheers here) that it is shot placement rather than bullet size that does the killing.
