FMJ will put a tight hole through the animal...not a lot of expansion. That brand is pretty cheap in the U.S. If you like it, go ahead and buy it.

I liked the core lokt bullets you were looking at...a while back for game animals...they are really deadly, they expand very well and are cheap....especially if you hit the lungs every time. I don't care what anyone tells you..you hit a eland in the lungs...it isn't going anywhere. And hitting a animal in the lungs doesn't ruin meat...and animal can't live if it can't breath.
The problem with FMJ...is they don't expand....and unless you hit the shoulder bone or lungs or heart or head...you are possibly going to have a huge problem getting that animal. I think of FMJ...as a sword...in the right spot deadly...wrong spot (big problem).

Hi enysse,
thank you for an answer.
30-06 Rem.CL PSP-good cartridge and I use him.
Federal American Eagle FMJ 30-06 150gr. I want to use for varmint and animals(fox, wolf) - max.100kg.- I think that energies on 100yd. -300yd. it will be enough.
Now I want to test a cartridge Sellier&Bellot 30-06 XLC 180g. did you use this cartridge with a Barnes bullet, what opinions ?
With respect,
Kristian.

You sure were getting the whole experience. Go Away birds, blown stalks, flighty critters, beer and coffee. Not a canned hunt by any stretch. Damn I hope he got some pictures of that...
