Hi, would like to hear some thoughts on Zeiss Duralyt by any1 who has had an opportunity to use them. I have a 2-8x42(non-illuminated) on my .300 Winmag and think the optics are quite a bit clearer than say a VX3 Leupold, so pound for pound a better deal. However I do have to admit that the Leopold's do seem to have better eye relief, just ask a friend who was not too familiar with a .300 and has a pretty scar to show off. I 'am considering changing the Aimpoint (just not bonding with it) on my 9.3x62 for the same Duralyt in 2-8x42, however what do you guys think of the 1.5-5x36 variable, considering I live and hunt in Botswana, and I have Kgalagadi long range hunting available (think Gemsbok/Eland/Gemsbok) as well as close quarter's, such as the Tuli block. I doubt I will get to go dangerous game hunting here in Botswana, so not too worried about being charged, therefore not too worried about loosing the fast finding and both eyes opened qualities of the Aimpoint.
