so wayne whose side are you on?
In the past I have tended to wait to watch the performances of a few groups games to see who is playing football and who is looking for an Academy Award. Too much acting, I bounce them from the cheering list.
Been looking at the odds and the old faithful teams are all in it.
After Brazil scoring the opening goal on themselves I was wondering about them. They have an advantage at home and think the rest have their work cut out to take it away.
Netherlands and Germany look to be close contenders.
At the moment I am cheering for Australia playing Chile.
Must have a soft spot for the underdogs!
Mostly I just like watching great play. I'll get rabid as the tournament proceeds.
now wayne not too rabid i hope...........have some of your neat jungle juice you quaff to calm you down (where are all my drinking smileys???)
I would rather watch Tiddlywinks!
its just not football unless you can pick up the ball run with it, bounce it ,run with it some more .
then kick it straight through the big sticks for six point ,mate .....
now bluey its called FOOTball for a reason....seems its only the aussies and irish that get confuzed with this concept.....
ha ha ha ha
Thankfully, I have a Sharks fan up the street who has a PVR to watch those games over breakfast on a weekend.
thats a good way to catch up on the sports... pity he's a sharks fan though!!
+1 Phil..and then I'll vote for the Netherlands.
are you talking sharks as in Cronulla sharks, bricko ?
bluey it will be these ones http://www.sharksrugby.co.za/
wayne bluey had this in mind me thinks not rugby http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_rules_football
rugby aint football ,micheal, its 3 blokes trying to push 2 blokes heads up 1 blokes ass....
yup sounds about right from what i can remember when i played a few decades ago!!! but isnt aussie rules footy about beating the crap out of each other?
What's the World Cup?
Go say that in Brazil right now
Hell what's soccer?
How do you tell a "trophy" ball from a representative ball? What are the sci measuements? Does anyone know what the day rates and trophy fees are for a soccer ball? Does a burchell soccer ball have shadow stripes wheras a mountain soccer ball just black and white?
I like soccer. My sons play it and all my nieces and nephews play it on some level. I've enjoyed going to college soccer matches. But when it comes to watching professionals, I can't get into it. I can say the same thing about professional basketball and baseball. I rather watch grass grow.
